20th and 21st June Day of fortress museums. Our museum has joined the project of reopening museum on the Czech-Austrian borderline.

5th July HRANICE 2015 – Safety day in the area of the Museum of the Iron Curtain in Valtice, the 5th annual popular event, a daylong programme for the whole family. This event takes visitors back in time as well as shows the difficult job of the police as well as firemen and paramedics. There is a border battle reconstruction from 1938, a specialised police and firemen demonstration planned for the day.

17th November A memorial day of unfreedom

30th December An untraditional farewell with the end of the year. Furthermore the museum is filled with communist toys and there will be singing of carols that many of us have already forgotten.
